FTM Top Surgery ® (Female To Male Transgender Chest Surgery)
ManSculpture ® (Body Masculinization)


 Costs of Surgery (effective February 1, 2012)
All top surgery costs are estimates for information purposes only and are subject to change without prior written notification.

All surgeries are performed as an outpatient procedure and do not require an overnight stay in a hospital. If you are traveling from out of town, Dr. Garramone requests you stay in our local area for at least one week so he may monitor you during the early postoperative period.

All costs include preoperative consultation fee, postoperative physician care, and a letter written by Dr. Garramone stating you have had irreversible sexual reassignment surgery. Revision surgery is only covered if related to the prior surgery performed by Dr. Garramone. If revisions must be performed in a hospital or surgery center, only Dr. Garramone's fee will be waived. The patient is responsible for all outside operating room and anesthesia fees.

 FTM Top Surgery ® Double Incision Method
  • $5,900: Total Fees Include Hospital OR Fees, Surgeon's Fee, all Breast sizes, liposuction and Pathology Fee. The Surgical and Pathology fees of $4,600 must be paid to our office at least 3 weeks prior to the surgery date. The Hospital & Anesthesia Fees of $1,300 must be paid directly to the hospital by the patient on the date of surgery. The Hospital & Anesthesia Fees include 90 minutes of Operating Room time. For most patients the average surgery time is 60 to 70 minutes. If the surgical procedure takes longer than 90 minutes to perform, the Hospital will charge the patient an additional $200 for each 30 minutes above the allotted time. This is rare, but we must be clear with you about the Hospital Fees.


    FTM Top Surgery ® "Keyhole" or "Peri-areolar" Method
  • $6,500: Total Fees Include Hospital OR Fees, Surgeon's Fee, all Breast sizes, liposuction and Pathology Fee. The Surgical and Pathology fees of $5,000 must be paid to our office at least 3 weeks prior to the surgery date. The Hospital & Anesthesia Fees of $1,500 must be paid directly to the hospital by the patient on the date of surgery. The Hospital & Anesthesia Fees include 120 minutes of Operating Room time. For most patients the average surgery time is 90 to 100 minutes. If the surgical procedure takes longer than 120 minutes to perform, the Hospital will charge the patient an additional $200 for each 30 minutes above the allotted time. This is rare, but we must be clear with you about the Hospital Fees.


    ManSculpture ® Body Masculinization (liposuction of abdomen, love handles, and outside hips)
  • $2,000 to $4,500 : This is in addition to Top Surgery when performed at the same time. Many patients choose to have this be performed at the same time to better contour their body to a more masculinized form. It is also more cost effective to have this performed at the same time as Top Surgery. The Hospital & Anesthesia Fees must be paid directly to the hospital by the patient.




    ***To reserve a surgical date a $500.00 (U.S. Funds) Non-refundable deposit is required. Upon making a reservation we will email you a pre-op packect with our financial policy, which must be signed and returned to our office immediately to confirm your scheduled reservation. Final payment is due three weeks prior to surgery. We accept all major credit cards, certain medical loan payments, Bank Certified Checks, or cash. We do not accept Personal Checks or medical insurance.

    All preop labs, prescription medications, mammograms, and postoperative compression garments are not included in the above fees. We will provide prescriptions (to be filled by the patient) for all medications, labs, and mammogram studies.

    All specimens of breast tissue removed during surgery must be sent to pathology for microscopic evaluation to rule out any evidence of breast tissue disease.
