I don't like to post about horrible tragedies in the world, but this one hit home for me. When I heard about what had happened and where it happened, I knew the victims were receiving the best medical care in our country and thankfully they were in the City of Las Vegas.
I trained with Dr. Fildes, the Chief of Trauma Surgery at UMC Las Vegas, back in 2002. I worked alongside Dr. Fildes and under his guidance for countless hours as a Trauma Surgery Resident. He is a Giant in the field of Trauma Surgery and a great man. The City of Las Vegas should be thankful of his great knowledge, skill, and compassion. A true physician. He taught me a lot, and I will always be grateful for his mentorship. This man has saved thousands of lives during his career, and he is one of the nicest people you hopefully will never have to meet.
Thank you Dr. Fildes for helping all of the victims of the Vegas tragedy. Thank you and your team for doing the work of a physician, to help and to heal.

Due to high demand and request from many of our patients we are now opening up the week of Christmas and the week of New Year’s for surgeries. If you would like to have your surgery done during this holiday break please contact our office at 954-752-7842 and ask about scheduling during this time. Last year when we opened up these dates all spots were taken within about one week. So we highly recommend that you call early to make sure that you do not lose a spot for this holiday break.
