Cost of Surgery

All GenSculpt® FTM Top Surgery® Procedure costs are estimates for information purposes only and are subject to change without prior written notification.

All surgeries are performed as an outpatient procedure and do not require an overnight stay in a hospital unless otherwise notified. If you are traveling from out of town, Dr. Garramone requests you stay in our local area for at least one week so he may monitor you during the early postoperative period.

All costs include preoperative consultation fee, postoperative physician care, and a letter written by Dr. Garramone stating you have had irreversible sexual reassignment surgery. Revision surgery is only covered if related to the prior surgery performed by Dr. Garramone. If revisions must be performed in a hospital or surgery center, only Dr. Garramone’s fee may be waived. The patient is responsible for all outside operating room, pathology, and anesthesia fees.

GenSculpt® FTM Top Surgery® Procedure Double Incision Method, or “Keyhole” Method, or “Peri-areolar” Method

    • $6,500 is Dr. Garramone’s Surgical Fee and Pathology Fee combined (the Keyhole or Peri-areolar Method may cost and additional $500 to $1,000 depending on the specific case). The Hospital & Anesthesia Fee is usually $1,625 to $1,900. The hospital requires all breast tissue to be sent for pathology examination. The estimated total fees are around $8,125 to $8,400, which include the hospital facility fee, anesthesia fee, and Dr. Garramone’s Surgical Fee. Prices can vary depending on hospital, when the procedure is scheduled, or if the hospital increases their fees. This applies to all Breast sizes and includes liposuction of the lateral breast if necessary. Dr. Garramone’s fee of $6,500 must be paid to our office at least 4 weeks prior to the surgery date. The Hospital & Anesthesia Fees must be paid directly to the hospital by the patient on the date of surgery. The Hospital & Anesthesia Fees include 120 minutes of Operating Room time. For most patients the average surgery time is 60 to 70 minutes. If the surgical procedure takes longer than 120 minutes to perform, the Hospital will charge the patient an additional $200 to $300 for each 30 minutes above the allotted time. This is rare, but we must be clear with you about the Hospital Fees. The Hospital or Surgery Center Fees can vary by date and availability.

ManSculpture® Procedure Body Masculinization (liposuction of abdomen, love handles, and outside hips) also known as MaleSculpture

      • $2,500 to $6,000 additional: This is in addition to Top Surgery when performed at the same time. Many patients choose to have this be performed at the same time to better contour their body to a more masculine form. ManSculpting is also more cost effective to have performed at the same time as Top Surgery. The Hospital & Anesthesia Fees must be paid directly to the hospital by the patient. You will be given the total amount due to our office 4 weeks prior to the date of surgery, and the amount due to the Hospital on the day of surgery. Pricing is per area. Typical areas are the abdomen, flanks, and outside thighs. Dr. Garramone’s surgcial fee for one area is $2,500, two areas are $4,000, and three areas are $6,000. The additional time for hospital fees will be added during your consultation for accuracy.
